Earl Phelps attended career fair at Mississippi Valley State University where he handed out station information and offered students information on how to apply for work at the station.

Had one intern in the newsroom (Sutton) from Mississippi State University that trained in reporting, filming and editing sports stories.

WXVT aired announcements from April through May informing high school and college students who are interested in a career in broadcasting to apply for the Mississippi Association of Broadcaster's Scholarship Program. Applications were made available at the station.

Larry Cazavan and Anne Martin attended University of Mississippi MAB Career Day.

Anne Martin was guest speaker in a communications class at the University of New Orleans speaking on career choices in broadcasting.
