The numbers are in.
The Muscular Dsytrophy Association of Mississippi has released the total raised from Tuesday's lock-up fund-raiser.
Just over $21,000 was raised.
Business and community leaders, including WXVT’s chief meteorologist, Vernon Turner, agreed to be "put behind bars for good." They called on co-workers, family and friends to get donations that went toward their "bail."
The money raised will help send 26 kids with muscular dystrophy to camp, pay up to $500 for equipment repairs for 42 patients, and it will pay for more research to find a cure.
