Eric Zernich joined the WXVT weather team in March 2013, coming from his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.  Eric Zernich has had a passion for the weather even since the 4th grade when he had to give a weather forecast for class one day.

Eric attended The Ohio State University receiving his degree with honors in Atmospheric Science.  During his junior and senior years he performed weekly 2-minute weather updates for the school's television channel, Buckeye TV.  Eric also would send out a daily weather email to over 350 people every morning during his senior year as Doppler EZ.

The summer before his senior year of college, Eric interned for WXIX Fox19 in Cincinnati.  Eric helped the weather team update the website and social media while creating weather graphics for the Inside the Forecast segment every evening.

When Eric is not covering the latest weather storm he enjoys playing golf and running.  Eric is a huge baseball fan, especially his hometown Cincinnati Reds.
